The models are used by planners for system stability simulations. This document provides direction for data collection to update the existing genrou model to gengec format and validate the model per the NERC 10-year model validation requirements. The staged testing consists of saturation, V-curve (sister unit) and reactive limits, and dynamic voltage reference step test with the PSS on and off. e This is unique testing as most generators have been converted to the gentpj model.This will be the remaining unit to be converted at the Brownlee Power Plant.Otherwise, saturation and V- curve data would not typically been needed. Pre-Data Collection / Testing Coordination This testing requires the coordination and scheduling with Operations and the Transmission Operator. That work may be scheduled later with additional/updated procedures. Procedure The testing control and record measurements are performed using the unit control panel and the DECS400 excitation controllers. Idaho Power 2024 BLPR1 MOD-026-1 Validation Procedure The Procedure section is mandatory and uses a playscript writing style (who/does what). Use this section to identify the position title of the person performing the action, and to describe the sequential steps required to complete the procedure. The following example describes the basic process an employee would use to apply for a raise at the U've Got 2B Kidding Company. Idaho Power 2024 BLPR1 MOD-026-1 Validation Procedure 3.1. Add recommendation comments in the box provided at the bottom of the form, if appropriate. 3.2. Fill-in the recommended amount of raise in the Amount of Raise box. 4. Forward the form to the senior manager for authorization. Senior Manager 5. Review the form and authorize the raise, if appropriate, by signing the bottom of the form. 6. Return the form to the resource leader. Resource Leader 7. Notify the employee of the decision. 8. If the raise was granted, submit the form to the Payroll department. Unit Operation The unit is to be loaded above any rough zones at unity to begin. The units is to remain stable for 5 minutes at unity. Its is preferred to be loaded around 80% of the operational rating. • PSS will be ON and OFF for testing as specified below. • The unit must be in manual control, as AGC can interfere with the testing. • The testing is not to exceed any Voltage, UEL, or OEL Limits. It is anticipated this unit is Online and running at normal operation.
