Inspection Summary
A construction inspection was performed on KV Utilities, a contractor for Intermountain Gas Company.
5-8 Aug 2019: (8.0 Construction)
Observed the crew potholing in preparation for the bore. They excavated the 2" PE they had split/pulled
prior to our inspection. Watched a "Missile/thumper" shot for a section of the 2" PE main installation.
Watched them bore on the main road to their tie-in location. They were stopped short due to the rocky
ground and had to trench the rest to the tie-in location. They pulled back the 2" main for they section of
bore the had completed.
Areas observed during this project were: Trenching, Boring, Squeezing, Mechanical coupling, Line Locating
