Inspection Summary
Audit consisted of inspecting vistas Distribution Integrity Management Program pan against
IA DIMP question set, 49 CFR Part 192.This audit was performed jointly by Washington and Idaho State pipeline
safety inspectors in Spokane, Washington at the Avista Utilities headquarters and consisted of travel to and
from Spokane Washington. The DIMP Plan was audited together by all inspectors with a separate inspection of
the individual documentation for each state by their state inspector. Each State is submitting audit reports,
forms and letters as required by their individual states.
October 25, 2019: (1 DIMP prep)
Prepared for the Distribution Integrity Management Program Audit of Avista Utility Company. Reviewed
PHMSA Guidance Manual, Company DIMP plan and prepared PHMSA IA question set for the audit.
October 28, 2019: (2 DIMP travel)
Traveled to Spokane, Washington for the DIMP audit.
October 29, 2019: (2 DIMP)
Met with Avista company representatives and Washington State pipeline inspectors to Audit the companies
distribution integrity management program. No areas of concern were noted during this inspection.
October 31, 2019: (2 DIMP travel)
Traveled back to Boise.
November 1, 2019: (2 DIMP)
Completed PHMSA IA DIMP question set and IPUC Form 1 Inspection Summary.
