IPC-E-24-22 COMPANY'S COMPLIANCE FILING TO ) UPDATE THE CUSTOMER SURCHARGE ) NOTICE OF TO COLLECT INCREMENTAL COSTS OF ) MODIFIED PROCEDURE DISTRIBUTION UNDERGROUNDING OF ) THE NEW 138 KV TRANSMISSION LINE IN ) NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC THE WOOD RIVER VALLEY AND ) WORKSHOP ESTABLISH NECESSARY REGULATORY ) ACCOUNTING TREATMENT ) ORDER NO. 36297 On May 31, 2024, Idaho Power Company ("Company") submitted a compliance filing requesting the Commission update the surcharge paid by Blaine County, Idaho customers for distribution undergrounding related to the new 138 kV Wood River Valley Transmission Line as required by Order No. 35452 ("Filing"). The Company requested issuance of the final order with rates effective by December 1, 2024.1 On July 9, 2024, the Commission issued a Notice of Filing and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 36251. No one intervened. The Commission now issues a Notice of Modified Procedure and Notice of Virtual Public Workshop. NOTICE OF MODIFIED PROCEDURE YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission has determined that the public interest may not require a formal hearing in this matter, and that it will proceed under Modified Procedure pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Procedure 201-204, IDAPA 31.01.01.201-.204. The Commission notes that Modified Procedure and written comments have proven to be an effective means for obtaining public input and participation. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that persons desiring to state a position on this Filing may file a written comment explaining why the person supports or opposes the Filing. Persons who would like a hearing must specifically request a hearing in their written comments and explain why written comments alone are insufficient. The purpose of the workshop is to provide the public with an overview of the Company's Filing. At the start of the workshop, Staff will give a presentation on the Filing. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that parties comply with Order No. 35375, issued April 21, 2022. Generally, all pleadings should be filed with the Commission electronically and will be deemed timely filed when received by the Commission Secretary. See Rule 14.02.
