I believe you must heed the advice of solar experts, not Rocky Mountain Power?s obviously biased opinion. I am very concerned about Rocky Mountain Power's new cost-benefit study on rooftop solar. It underestimates the value of solar by intentionally excluding measurable environmental and related benefits that impact customer rates. This threatens fair compensation for Idaho families, businesses, farms, schools, and other local entities that benefit from locally-owned solar. We've already seen the impact of unfair reduced rates for Rocky Mountain Power customers in Utah, and for Idaho Power customers in Idaho. Please don't let this trend impact Rocky Mountain Power customers in rural eastern Idaho. Idahoans deserve rooftop solar rates based on a more fair and complete analysis. I urge you to reject Rocky Mountain Power's study. Let integrity zand long term planning win here-solar is the right thing to keep increasing, and supporting more, not less. 1 I am very concerned about Rocky Mountain Power's new cost-benefit study on rooftop solar.
