Comment: "Subject: Concerns Regarding the Pending Rate Increase
Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
I am writing to express my concern about the proposed rate increase by RMP. If I were to inform my
employer of a 25%salary increase due to rising personal expenses, it would undoubtedly be met with
resistance. It's expected that individuals live within their means and make tough financial decisions when
necessary.
Similarly, RMP should also practice fiscal responsibility. This could involve limiting expenditures on new
equipment, tools, and computers for staff, rather than passing costs onto customers.
To accommodate my standard of living without making difficult financial choices, I would need RMP to
reduce my electric bill by 35%.
Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
Best regards,
John "

Comment: "Rocky Mountain Power should NOT be allowed almost a 30% rate increase. At my home,
specifically, we have outages and surges almost daily...why should we have to pay more for a service that
RMP cannot steadily provide? Also, trace the money, RMP is not using the funds to benefit the people of
Idaho, they are using it to fulfill their contract with California Power for renewable energy. It is a known
fact that what is produced by RMP thru windmill and solar energy is sold to California and does not
benefit anyone in the south East Idaho area...this has been verified by RMP representatives. Quit
bleeding Idaho citizens to benefit California. And don't make people pay more for electricity that RMP
barely supplies on a regular basis."
