PAC-E-23-17 POWER'S APPLICATION TO COMPLETE ) THE STUDY REVIEW PHASE OF THE ) NOTICE OF COSTS AND BENEFITS OF ON-SITE ) MODIFIED PROCEDURE CUSTOMER GENERATION ) NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC WORKSHOP NOTICE OF CUSTOMER HEARING ORDER NO. 36160 On June 29, 2023, Rocky Mountain Power, a division of PacifiCorp, ("Company") requested that Idaho Public Utilities Commission("Commission")approve the study review phase of the costs and benefits for on-site customer generation.' The Company attached its on-site generation study and requested a timeline for processing the case as well as a finding that the study's scope satisfied Order No. 34753. On July 31, 2023, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 35870. The Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, Inc. intervened. Order No. 35884. After lengthy discussions with Staff,the Company submitted additional filings on February 8, 2024. These filings revised the Company's study and appendices to make them more accessible to the public. These filings separate the results from the calculations included in the study so the results are no longer redacted—thus increasing the transparency of the Company's filings. The Commission now issues a Notice of Modified Procedure, Notice of Virtual Public Workshop, and Notice of Customer Hearing. NOTICE OF MODIFIED PROCEDURE YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission has determined that the public interest may not require a formal hearing in this matter, and that it will proceed under Modified ' Order No. 34753 defined the scope of the Company's study. The Commission notes that Modified Procedure and written comments have proven to be an effective means for obtaining public input and participation. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that persons desiring to state a position on this Application may file a written comment explaining why the person supports or opposes the Application. Persons who would like a hearing must specifically request a hearing in their written comments and explain why written comments alone are insufficient. Persons interested in filing written comments must do so by June 13, 2024. Comments must be filed through the Commission's website or by e-mail unless computer access is unavailable. At the start of the workshop, Staff will give a presentation on the Application and study. Following the presentation, the public may ask Staff questions about the Application and study. The customer hearing will be held at the Idaho Falls Activity Center South Room, 1575 N. Skyline Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83402. Persons attending the customer hearing in-person will have an opportunity to provide testimony.
