OF OREGON TELEPHONE CORPORATION AND THE RESULTING
NAME CHANGE ON THE CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY NO.536; CASE NO.ORT-T-24-01.
BACKGROUND
On February 02, 2024, Oregon Telephone Corporation ("Company") notified the
Commission that it had changed its name to Oregon Telephone Corporation d/b/a Rally
Networks. As a result, the Company requests that the Commission update the Company name in
all Commission records.
STAFF ANALYSIS
On February 2, 2024, the Company notified the Commission that it has changed the name
under which it conducts business operations to Oregon Telephone Corporation d/b/a Rally
Networks. This was done solely for the purpose of rebranding all of its operations as Rally
Networks to create a unified brand within the properties that it owns. Staff confirmed that the
Company is registered with the Idaho Secretary of State as a Foreign Business Corporation.
The Commission has jurisdiction over the issuance of Certificates of Public Convenience
and Necessity ("CPCN") in Idaho. IDAPA 31.01.01.114. The Company holds a CPCN
Certificate No. 536 that was issued pursuant to Commission Order No. 35430 in Case No. ORT-
T-22-01.
Staff examined the request and determined that this action will simply amend the name
on the CPCN Certificate to reflect the recent corporate name change of the Company.
