SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF ZIPLY WIRELESS, LLC’S APPLICATION FOR
COMPETITIVE LOCAL EXCHANGE CARRIER (CLEC) IN THE STATE
OF IDAHO; CASE NO. ZWL-T-22-01.
On August 23, 2022, Ziply Wireless, LLC, (“Company”) applied for authorization as
a competitive local exchange carrier in Idaho, with plans to begin construction in early 2023.
THE APPLICATION
The Company plans to offer fiber-fed fixed wireless telecommunications services,
including internet access, data transport and voice over IP services in the areas of Boise; Idaho
Falls; Lewiston; Meridian; Nampa; Pocatello; Rexburg and Twin Falls. Id. at 2-3. The Company
does not have balance sheets to provide, and attached the balance sheets of its parent company,
Northwest Fiber. Id. at 3. The Company plans to offer services that are not subject to tariff in
Idaho, including IP-based services, including internet access, data transport and voice-over-IP. The
Company included an example “terms and conditions of services” that will be published on their
website. Id. at 3.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of
Modified Procedure with a 21-day comment deadline and 28-day reply deadline.

Procedure with a 21-day comment deadline and 28-day reply deadline?
