RE: CASE NO. USW-T-99-22 AND USW-T-99-23, APPROVAL OF INTER-
CONNECTION AGREEMENTS BETWEEN U S WEST AND NPCR, INC. AND NEW EDGE NETWORK, INC.

On September 1, 1999, a Joint Application was filed by U S WEST Communications, Inc. and NPCR, Inc. for approval a Type 2 Wireless Interconnection Agreement. The Application was submitted pursuant to Section 252(e) of the federal Telecommunications Act of 1996. The Agreement was reached through voluntary negotiations. On October 1, 1999, the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure to process the Joint Application. Written comments were filed during the comment period only by the Commission Staff, which recommends approval of the Interconnection Agreement.
On September10, 1999, a Joint Application was filed by U S WEST Communications, Inc. and New Edge Network, Inc. for approval of a negotiated Interconnection Agreement. The Agreement is a wire line Interconnection Agreement and is submitted for approval pursuant to Section 252(e) of the Telecommunications Act. New Edge is a local exchange company that, pursuant to the terms of the Interconnection Agreement, may provide service by reselling U S WEST’s services. On October 21, 1999, the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure to process the Joint Application. Written comments were filed during the comment period only by the Commission Staff, which recommends approval of the Interconnection Agreement.
