RE:Stipulation for processing U S WEST’s Section 271 Filing
Dear Counsel:
Enclosed is a revised Stipulation for processing U S WEST’s Section 271 filing.  Clarifying revisions were made in response to suggestions offered by counsel for Electric Lightwave, Inc.
Please review the enclosed Stipulation and, if you have not already, sign your original signature page and return it to me.  I have received signed signature pages from Telecommunications Resellers Association, GST Telecom Idaho, Inc., Citizens Telecommunications Company of Idaho, and U S WEST.  If you have already provided a signature page, it is not necessary to send me a new one.  I will assume that the revised Stipulation is acceptable and that your signature page is valid for the revised Stipulation.  Please contact me immediately if you have any concern regarding my acceptance of your signed signature page.
I am awaiting signed signature pages only from Electric Lightwave, Inc., MCI Telecommunica­tions Corporation, Sprint Communications Company LP, and AT&T Communications.  Please return your signature pages to me by June 16, 1998.  I would like to present the Stipulation to the Commission at its decision meeting on June 23, 1998.
