The reasons stated on the petition include the following:  Over 600 people live in Mountain Home and commute to jobs in Boise.  Some 400 Air Force employees live in Boise and commute to Mountain Home Air Force Base.  Mountain Home is in the Boise Economic Impact Area, meaning they do most of their business in Boise rather than Twin Falls, for instance.  A majority of businesses in Mountain Home call Boise more than any other long distance location.  Local government agencies make numerous calls to state agencies in Boise.  Medical and other professional specialty services are only available in Boise. Does the Commission wish to assign this petition a case number and thus give it a formal place in the queue of existing EAS petitions? ________________________ Bill Eastlake i:wpfiles/utelcomm/mh-eas.wpd/gdk
