RE: Staff Responses to Production Request in Case No. USW-S-96-5
Dear Mrs. Walters:
Enclosed for filing is an original and two copies of Staff’s partial responses to the Second Production Request of U S WEST Communications in the above referenced case.  Service of the enclosed partial responses and the prior responses hand delivered to U S WEST on December 24 will be served on the other parties to this case.
The Company’s second Production Request begins with Request No. 1; so the Staff’s responses mirror the request numbers.  Except for the response to Production Request No. 148, the Staff witnesses preparing the responses are identified in each of the Company’s requests.  The response to Production Request No. 148 was prepared by Staff witness Eastlake.
Included in the Staff responses to the Company’s Production Request are three worksheets which allegedly contain proprietary information.  These three worksheets have been marked “proprietary” and submitted under seal.
