Dear Commissioners:
The City of Soda Springs wishes to declare its support for the new Caribou Substation planned to
be constructed near Three Mile Knoll north of Soda Springs , Idaho by PacifiCorp (aka Rocky
Mountain Power), the Bonneville Power Administration and Lower Valley Energy. We commend
their forward thinking approach in investing capital to meet the long term transmission needs of
southeast Idaho.
The additional power capabilities from this substation for this corner of the state will help
considerably alleviate constricted energy routes over existing transmission.
