DISCUSSION:
On October 9, 1996, GVNW filed switched access rates on behalf of the companies that purchased exchanges from U S WEST in Case No. USW-S-94-4 et. al. The following companies and the parent companies are included in this filing:

Staff has reviewed the tariffs and agrees that the filed rates comply with what was agreed to in the sale case.
Specifically, the rates filed are those in effect at the time the agreement was signed. The exception to this is that the local transport rates for interLATA intrastate calls are lower. This difference was agreed to by the purchasers during the technical hearing held in Boise.
As agreed to by the purchasers, these rates will not change for three years from the date of the sale (October 18, 1996).
An example of the tariff filed by Council Telephone is attached.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the filings be approved.
