RE:ADVICE LETTER 2007-02 REGARDING CASE NO. TSV-97-
On October 22 2007, the Idaho Public Utilities Commission received an Advice Letter
No. 2007-02 from Sharon Thomas, Consultant to Talk America, Inc. dba Cavalier Telephone
also dba Cavalier Business Communications asking to relinquish its authority to provide Local
Exchange Service as a CLEC, conditionally granted on September 18, 1997 in Order No. 27137
in Case No. TSV-97-1. In addition, Ms. Thomas also requests that the Commission cancel the
Company s Local Exchange Services Idaho PUC List No.5. Further, she states that the
Company will continue to provide intrastate resold long distance services in Idaho without
interruption.
The granting of the CPCN and the issuance of a Final Order in this case was incumbent
upon receipt of Interconnection Agreements. The Company failed to supply the agreements and
a certificate was never issued. Consequently, the Commission actions necessary in response
this Advice Letter is to withdraw the Company s Local Exchange Services Idaho PUC List No.
and to close Case No.TSV-97-1. The Idaho Tariff No. 6 will remain on file as indicated in the
Advice Letter.
