CALCULATION OF THE ADJUSTABLE PORTION OF THE AVOIDED COST
RATE(S) FOR EXISTING PURPA CONTRACTS FOR AVISTA CORPORATION
DBA AVISTA UTILITIES, FOR IDAHO POWER COMPANY, AND FOR
PACIFICORP DBA ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER.
Dear Ms. Jewell,
On May 14, 2012 the Idaho Public Utilities Commission staff provided the 2012-2013 updated
prices for the adjustable portion of the avoided costs rates for those QF contracts using variable
costs associated with Colstrip, pursuant to Order No. 28708.
Rocky Mountain Power has reviewed and agrees that the updated prices have been calculated
correctly. The Company will utilize the new variable energy rates for existing contract deliveries
commencing July 1, 2012 extending through June 30, 2013.
