RE: Objection to Notice of Proposed Settlement Order No. 32463
TracFone Wireless Inc. Case No. TFW-T-09-01
Dear Commssioners:
The Idaho Association of Counties concurs in the objection lodged by the Idaho Emergency
Communications Commssion in the above-referenced case.
Idaho's counties as well as some cities depend upon the 9-1-1 fees to support the emergency
communications system in this state. This requires paricipation by all providers and it is
fundamentally unfair to allow any provider to escape its responsibilty under Idaho law. It also
leads to an under-funded system that may result in direct har to any person, not just Idaho
residents, who requires immediate assistance from law enforcement or emergency medical
services.
Therefore, the Idaho Association of Counties respectfully requests that the PUC reconsider their
proposed Stipulation and deny the application until TracFone comes into compliance with
existing law regarding the services they provide in Idaho.
Sincerely,
¡A.'",P'~
