BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On July 15,2019, the Commission received a letter asking that Talk America Seryices.
LLC.,beallowedtocancelitsCertificateNo.5l9issuedinTAL-T-I4-01. SeeOrderNo.
33296. The Company states that effective September 1,2019, it proposes to cease providing
service in Idaho as well as nine other slates. The Company also included a customer notice that
was issued on July 15.2019. u,ith the explanation that the service will be discontinued
September 1, 2019. Staff contacted the Company and was told that they currently have 135
customers who subscribe to various bundled services.
STAFF REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed the request and believes that the Company has given adequate
notification to consumers and recornmends that the certificale be cancelled effective
September 1,2019. Does the Commission agree?
