On July 15,2019,Talk America Services,LLC (Talk America)requested that its
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN or Certificate)No.519 be cancelled.In
its Decision Meeting on July 30,2019,the Commission addressed Talk America's request to
cancel Certificate No.519.
COMMISSION FINDINGS
In May 2015,the Commission issued Order No.33296 granting Talk America a CPCN
to provide resold local exchange telecommunications services within the State of Idaho.
Certificate No.519 was issued to Talk America.
On July 15,2019,the Commission received a letter asking that Talk America be
allowed to cancel Certificate No.519.Talk America stated that effective September 1,2019,it
proposes to cease providing service in Idaho.Talk America also included a customer notice that
was issued on July 15,2019,which included the date of service discontinuance and a customer
service phone number and email.
Commission Staff was informed by Talk America that it has 135 Idaho customers,who
subscribe to various bundled services.Staff has reviewed the request and believes that Talk
America has adequately notified customers.Staff recommends that the certificate be cancelled
effective September 1,2019.
Consequently,we cancel Certificate No.519 and direct Staff to remove Talk America's
tariff on file.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Talk America's request for cancellation of CPCN No.
519 is granted.Certificate No.519 will no longer be in effect after September 1,2019,and Talk
America may no longer provide telecommunications services in the State of Idaho after that date.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of the service date of this Order with regard to any

matter decided in this Order.Within seven (7)days after any person has petitioned for
reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration.See Idaho Code §§62-
619 and 61-626.
