SZ9-T-23-01 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF SYRINGA NETWORKS, LLC, FOR BROADBAND INVESTMENT TAX CREDIT CERTIFICATION Syringa Networks, LLC files this Application for an Idaho Public Utilities Commission (“Commission”) order certifying that certain telecommunications equipment is eligible for the broadband infrastructure tax credit authorized by Section 63-3029I(3)(b), Idaho Code. In support of its Application, Syringa Networks, LLC states as follows: 1) Communications regarding this application should be addressed to: Bill Cole Senior Tax Analyst Syringa Networks, LLC 12301 W Explorer Dr Boise, ID 83713 Syringa Networks, LLC is a telecommunications carrier. 2) Exhibit A of this application identifies the areas or locations of equipment purchased and fiber optic routes constructed. 3) Syringa Networks provides the following broadband services to our customers: ethernet, internet, voice, colocation, and SD-WAN 4) The minimum upload and download speed available to customers is 1.5 MB/second or 12,000,000 bits/second 5) Refer to Exhibit A of this application for a listing of installed equipment and cost 6) Refer to Exhibit A of this application for the dates the equipment was installed 7) As of December 31, 2022 Syringa Networks, LLC provides one of the above services to approximately 700 Idaho customers. Case No: SZ9‐T‐23‐01 SYRINGA NETWORKS, LLC APPLICATION Exhibit A, attached hereto, describes Syringa Networks, LLC’s qualified broadband equipment and contains the information and representation required by this Commission’s Order No. 35297 in Case No. GNR-T-21-10. The list of installed equipment is necessary to the provision of broadband service and an integral part of the broadband network. Syringa Networks, LLC has reviewed the applicable statutes for the Broadband Investment Income Tax Credit. Syringa Networks, LLC also believes that the broadband equipment included within Exhibit A qualifies for the tax credit under Section 63-3029I of the Idaho Code. Syringa Networks, LLC does not believe that the public interest requires a hearing on this matter, and therefore requests that the Commission approve the Application by Minute Order or under Modified Procedure. In the event the Commission determines that further proceedings are necessary, Applicant stands ready for immediate hearings. WHEREFORE, Syringa Networks, LLC requests that the Commission issue its order determining that the installed equipment in Exhibit A constitutes qualified broadband equipment eligible for the investment tax credit authorized by Section 63-2039I, Idaho Code.
