IPUC, No. 24349 Dear Lois: Pursuant to our telephone conversation last week, I am returning the Settlement Conference Notice. I apologize for the delay in returning the settlement notice but the recent holidays, illnesses of both counsels, and out-of-state travel have delayed the return of the Notice. Although the Commission must respectfully decline the invitation to engage in appellate settlement, both the Commission and U S WEST have been engaged in ongoing discussions in an attempt to settle the issue on appeal. Despite our best efforts, the Commission at this time has concluded that settlement of the single issue is not possible.
