On May 1,2020, Safelink Intemet, L.L.C. ("Safelink") applied to the Commission to
become a competitive local exchange carrier in southem Idaho.
THE APPLICATION
Safelink is an Idaho limited liability company with its principal office in Rupert, Idaho.
Application at 3. Safelink describes itself as "a facilities-based telecommunication company with
wireless towers and fiber delivery." Id. at 6. It plans to provide "communications solutions to
enterprise, carrier, governmental[,] and residential customers" throughout southern Idaho. Id. at2
and 6. Safelink services will include Voice over lnternet Protocol phone service, FAX servicel,
and "other individual services." Id. at 5. Safelink states it has not yet entered into any
interconnection agreements. Id. at 10. Safelink offers services throughout southern Idaho, and
asserts it would compete with any or all of the incumbent local exchange carriers in the region. 1d.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of
Modified Procedure, setting a July 9, 2020 comment deadline and a July 16, 2020 reply comment
deadline.
