At the August 2 , 2010 decision meeting, Commission Staff presented a decision
memorandum regarding Rural Telephone Company s request to change its name to Rural
Telephone Company dba RTI. Rural Telephone submitted amended tariffs reflecting the new
business name and a Certificate of Assumed Business Name from the Idaho Secretary of State.
Staff recommended the Commission allow the tariffs to become effective September 1 , 2010.
Based on our review of the requested name change and Staff s recommendation, we
find it reasonable to amend Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 284 to reflect
the change from Rural Telephone Company to Rural Telephone Company dba RTI.
