Rural Telephone Company (the "Company") has fied the enclosed Certificate of
Assumed Business Name with the Idaho Secretary of State's office adopting "RTI" as its
assumed name. Going forward, the Company intends to use RTI as its "dba" and, therefore,
requests that the Commission approve an amendment to the Company's name in its certificate of
public convenience and necessity to "Rural Telephone Company, dba RTI." My understading.
is that this ministerial action can be accomplished without the need for the Company to fie a
formal petition with the Commission.
The Company has revised its tarff to incorporate the above name change as well, and this
is being directed to the Commission for its approval under separate cover from the Company's
consultat, GVNW.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything fuher from the Company
concerning this request.
