On November 22,2004,Rural Telephone Company flied an Application for an
extension of the time required to implement wireline to wireless number portability.On
March 26,2004,the Commission issued Order No.29452 granting the Petition filed on behalf of
Rural,as well as other small telephone companies,for suspension of the carriers’obligation to
implement local number portability,initially required to be implemented by May 24,2004.In its
2004 Application,Rural asked the Commission to grant it an additional 12-month extension to
implement LNP in its Tipanuk exchange and an additional 36-month extension in its Atlanta,
Boise River,Prairie,Shoup,and Three Creek exchanges.
Staff recently confirmed that the Company can port numbers and is in compliance
with the number portability guidelines.Staff accordingly recommended that this case be closed.
The Commission determined at its February 19,2013 Decision Meeting to close Case No.RUR
T-04-02.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Case No.RUR-T-04-02 is closed.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of the service date of this Order.Within seven (7)
days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for
reconsideration.See Idaho Code §6 1-626.
