On September 4, 2008, the Commission issued a Notice of Procedural Schedule
adopting the schedule proposed by the parties. As currently scheduled, Staff and Intervenors
must file their comments or briefs by October 31 , 2008. On October 23, 2008, Staff filed a
Motion to Extend Deadline for Filing Comments and Vacate Hearing Date.
According to Staff s Motion, Qwest indicated to Staff that it may consider presenting
an alternative to its Statement of Generally Available Terms and Conditions, and needs
additional time to consider that possibility. Accordingly, Staff and Qwest believe it is
appropriate to delay the filing of Staff and Intervenors ' briefs for 30 days and to vacate the
hearing date for the oral argument. Staff contacted counsel for each of the parties in the case
and each indicated no objection to extending the filing date for Staff and Intervenors to
December 1 , 2008, and to vacate the December 9 2008 hearing date for oral argument.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Staffs Motion to allow Staff and Intervenors until
December 1 , 2008 to file their comments or briefs, and to vacate the December 9 2008 hearing
date for oral argument is approved. The Commission will schedule a hearing for oral argument
in January and issue a Notice.
