HomeMy WebLinkAbout20030606min.docMINUTES OF DECISION MEETING JUNE 6, 2003 – 1:30 P.M. In attendance were Commissioners Paul Kjellander, Dennis Hansen, and Marsha Smith. The first order of business was approval of the CONSENT AGENDA, items 1—7. There was no discussion. Commissioner Kjellander moved for approval of the Consent Agenda. A vote was taken on the motion and it carried unanimously. The next order of business was MATTERS IN PROGRESS: Scott Woodbury’s June 2, 2003 Decision Memorandum re: 2003 Electric Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), Case No. PAC-E-03-2 (PacifiCorp). Mr. Woodbury reviewed his Decision Memo. Commissioner Smith commented that she agrees with the comment made by Monsanto regarding the 15% planning margin. She said when the Company made its presentation to the Commission it stated it had established the 15% planning margin because it had an eye on the FERC’s SMD order. She stated that she would be more interested in what the Company thinks is a reasonable and prudent reserve margin in its planning process as opposed to FERC’s number. Commissioner Kjellander made a motion that the Commission accept for filing the IRP and in its order make reference to the Commission’s thoughts about the 15% planning margin. A vote was taken and the motion carried unanimously. Scott Woodbury’s June 3, 2003 Decision Memorandum re: Change in Depreciation Rates—Electric Property, Case No. PAC-E-02-05 (PacifiCorp). Mr. Woodbury reviewed his Decision Memo. There was no discussion. Commissioner Smith made a motion to approve the settlement of the Staff and Company with a 90-day period to do the updating. A vote was taken on the motion and it carried unanimously. The only other item on the agenda was under FULLY SUBMITTED MATTERS, and Commissioner Kjellander stated it would be deliberated privately.
