This is a very UNFAIR disadvantage for Qwest and smacks square into the faceof anti-competi tion. Why should any business be have its hands tied behind their backswhile the competi tion is allowed to freely race forward? If Qwest is regulated for the sake of "competition " then shouldn t the wireless companlesALSO be regulated? Hmmmmm. Think about it - and very seriously. Please APPROVE Qwest' s request deregulation in Idaho 7 largest ci ties for phone services. Let's allow for free competi tion wi thout hog-tying anyone.. else you eve ryone for price must hog-tie Transaction ID: 423804. I hope you take what I have to say into consideration. I haveseen a dramatic increase in the amount of people canceling their landlines and only usingcell phones. I would say of my friends have done so. Al though a landline is idealfor most people , consumers are preferring to do business wi th cell phone providersindependent high speed Internet companies , and other local telephone al ternati ves insteadof accepting Qwest' s regulated higher prices determined by the PUC.I am grateful for the regulation that has played an importantand service protection to me in the past. Unfortunately that now costing me more money as a consumer. It is time to allow consumer market as freely as everyone else does. role by providing pricingsame regulating shield Qwest to compete in the From what I understand the Commission will continue to regulate Qwest' s service quality, customer relations rules , deposi t and disconnection policies and handle customer relations disputes which can t be resolved directly wi th the Qwest if the pricing regulation approved. This is wonderful; in fact I appreciate the PUC' s role for the improvement in Qwest's customer and technical services. Now please continue to help us , the consumers by allowing Qwest to set their own prlces. Thank you for considering this change in policy to deliver better prlces and services to the residents of our communi ty. A cell phone company is able to package a very enticing group of servicesincluding long distance any way they like. Qwest is losing land line business to cellproviders daily. This is unfair to companies like Qwest who must gain regulatory approvalbefore they can offer a competing land line service. Times have changes , the IPUC needsto recognize this. In larger service areas , Qwest should be unregulated to be able compete wi th unregulated cell companies.Transaction ID: 4221631.
