I have seen veryli ttle good come out of deregulation of ANY industry, be it airlines , banking, electricity, etc. I expect that the deregulation of local phone svc., will enhance Qwest Ibottom line , but that it will adversely affect my phone bills.Qwest claims that "packages , that include basic svc. and e-mail would be competi ti ve wi prices cell phone companies charge . I am not at all interested in "packages " of any kind thank you very much. I don t use a cell phone. I have an e-mail acount wi th my ISP (Earthlink). I just want to keep my local phone bill as low as possible -especially in view of the fact that my wife and I are retired , and are li ving on fixed incomes. I am afraid that deregulating local svcs. will resul t in higher rates for that service. Please include these comments in your public record of this case. My wife and I are OPPOSED TO QWEST I S REQUEST. Thank you Robert and Nicoline Boester Transaction ID: 321224.
