ONGE REGARDING A LINE EXTENSION DECISION MADE BY QWEST CORPORATION ) ) ) )) ) CASE NO. QWE-T-01-25 ORDER NO. 29011 On September 6, 2001, the Commission received a formal complaint, filed by the St. Onges requesting that the Commission review a line extension decision made by Qwest Corporation. The St. Onges claimed they requested Qwest to provide them with basic phone service for their home but the Company refused to do so unless they agreed to pay line extension charges. The St. Onges disputed those proposed charges. The Commission has been informed that the parties reached a settlement of the disputed issues. According to a document provided to the Commission by Qwest, the Company agreed to reduce the charge for extending service to the St. Onges from approximately $5,700 to $1,006.23. Qwest also agreed to allow the St. Onges to split this amount into two payments. The St. Onges made the first payment of $503.12 to Qwest on November 9, 2001. In return, Qwest extended basic phone service to the St. Onges on December 24, 2001. A Qwest manager and the St. Onges signed this document. Based on this information the Commission finds that the issues raised by the St. Onges’ Complaint have been resolved. Accordingly, the Commission shall dismiss and close this matter. O R D E R IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the formal complaint filed by Lance and Karissa St. Onge is dismissed. THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order (or in issues finally decided by this Order) or in interlocutory Orders previously issued in this Case No. QWE-T-01-25 may petition for reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this Order or interlocutory Orders previously issued in this case. Within seven (7) days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration. See Idaho Code §§ 61626 and 62-619.
