Katherine Schroder
Deputy Chief Accounting Policy Division
Federal Communications Commission
445 12th Street SW
Washington, DC 20545
Dear Ms. Schroder:
The Idaho portion of Qwest Communications, Inc.’s (formerly U S WEST) Lewiston/Clarkston, Washington exchange is currently in the process of being sold by Qwest to Citizens Telecommunications. Part of the approval of the sale requires the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to approve the changes in study area boundaries for both Qwest and Citizens Telecommunications.
The Idaho Public Utilities Commission wishes to notify the FCC that, contingent upon approval by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission of the Washington sale, the Idaho PUC does not object to the FCC granting necessary study area waivers, nor does it object to any necessary reconfiguration of study area boundaries involving the Idaho portion of the Clarkston, Washington exchange.
Sincerely,
DENNIS S. HANSEN, PRESIDENT
MARSHA H. SMITH, COMMISSIONER
PAUL KJELLANDER, COMMISSIONER
