On December 17,1997,this Commission issued a Certificate of Public
Convenienceand Necessity to Quintelco,Inc.authorizingthe company to provide basic local
service in the state of Idaho.Quintelco was issued Certificate No.342.
On May 8,2001,Staffreceived a letter from Andrew Stollman,Executive Vice
President of Quintelco (copy attached)advising that he was issued a "Certificate of Withdrawal."
This Certificate of Withdrawalwas issued by the Office of the Secretary of State (copy attached).
On May 21,2001 Staff sent Mr.Stollman a certified letter asking that he request,
in writing,that the CPCN issued to Quintelco be cancelled and that his price list/tariff be
removed from our files.We also sent a copy of this letter to his Registered Agent.The return
receipt was signed by S.Ramer,and the Agent's letter was marked "undeliverable"and returned
by the Post Office.We received no furtherresponse.

Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Commission cancel Certificate of Public Convenience
and Necessity No.342 and eliminate the Quintelco tariff from our files.Does the Commission
agree?
