HomeMy WebLinkAbout28797.docBEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION in the matter of THE CANCELLATION OF QUINTELCO, inc’S CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO PROVIDE LOCAL EXCHANGE SERVICE WITHIN IDAHO. ) ) ) ) ) ) CASE NO. QTC-T-01-1 ORDER NO. 28797 On December 17, 1997, the Commission issued a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to Quintelco, Inc. authorizing the Company to provide basic local telephone exchange service in the state of Idaho. See Order No. 27264. Quintelco was issued Certificate No. 341. On May 8, 2001, the Commission received a letter from Quintelco’s executive vice president stating that he was issued a “Certificate of Withdrawal” by the Idaho Secretary of State. Staff subsequently attempted to determine if the Company desired to cease operating in Idaho. Correspondence sent to the Company and its registered agent was unanswered or returned as “undeliverable.” Based upon these events, the Commission finds that it is reasonable to cancel Quintelco’s Certificate No. 341 and its price lists/tariffs. Upon issuance of this Order, Quintelco is no longer authorized to provide telecommunications services within the state of Idaho. O R D E R IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Certificate No. 341 issued to Quintelco, Inc. is cancelled. The Company is no longer authorized to provide telecommunication services within the state of Idaho. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Commission Secretary may remove and cancel Quintelco’s price lists/tariffs from the Commission’s active files. THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order (or in issues finally decided by this Order) or in interlocutory Orders previously issued in this Case No. QTCT011 may petition for reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this order or in interlocutory Orders previously issued in this Case No. QTCT011. Within seven (7) days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration. See Idaho Code §§ 61-626 and 62-609.
