On July 13,2011,Qwest Communications Company LLC (QCC)notified the
Commission of a change in its operating entity that affects its Certificate of Public Convenience
and Necessity No.402.On April 1,2011,Qwest Communications International,Inc.,and its
subsidiaries including Qwest Corporation;Qwest Communications Company,LLC;and Qwest
LD Corporation,completed a merger with CenturyLink,Inc.In 2008,QCC was converted from
a corporation to a limited liability company,but the name on Certificate No.402 was not
changed from Qwest Communications Corporation.Now that the Qwest and CenturyLink
merger is complete,Staff recommended the Commission change the name on Certificate No.402
to reflect the proper name of the entity conducting business under authority of the Certificate.
The Company states that new title pages reflecting the new name will be filed with the
Commission.
Based on our review of the information provided to the Commission by QCC,the
Commission finds it reasonable to issue an amended Certificate of Public Convenience and
Necessity to reflect the change in name on Certificate No.402 from Qwest Communications
Corporation to Qwest Communications Company,LLC dba CenturyLink QCC.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.
402,is amended to change the name from Qwest Communications Corporation to Qwest
Communications Company,LLC dba CenturyLink QCC.QCC will be issued an amended
Certificate reflecting this name change.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of the service date of this Order.Within seven (7)
ORDER NO.32307 1
days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for
reconsideration.See Idaho Code §6 1-626.
