Calculation of Distance
For the purpose of determining airline mileage, vertical and horizontalgri d 1 i nes have been estab 1 i shed across the Uni ted States and Canada. Thespaci ng between adjacent verti ca 1 gri dl i nes and between hori zonta 1 gri d
1 i nes represents a di stance of one coordi nate uni t. Thi s uni t is the
squa re root of 0.1, expressed in statute mi 1 es . A vert i ca (V) and a
hori zonta (H) coordi nate is computed for each oca 1 exchange company
pri ma ry servi ng offi ce and servi ng offi ce from its at i tude and ongi tudeocati on by use of appropri ate map-projecti on equati ons, usi ng the V and
H coordinates found in AT&T's FCC Tariff No.10. A pair of V-H coordinates
locates a pri ma ry servi ng offi ce or servi ng offi ce for determi ni ng air 1 i ne
mileage, at a particular intersection of an established vertical grid line
wi th an estab 1 i shed hori zonta 1 gri 1 i ne. The di stance between any two
pri ma ry servi ng offi ces or servi ng offi ces is the air 1 i ne mi 1 eage computed
as explained below.

Telecall Service is oriented toward corporations, hotels, motels,
hospi ta 1 s and payphones. Thi s servi ce enables guests, patrons, patientsand other authori zed users to place operator ass i sted long di stance ca 11 s .
The ca 11 er may select a bi 11 i ng method in accordance wi th hi s or herpreference. Ca 11 s are i ni t i all y intercepted by an operator who wi 11
obta in the appropri ate bi 11 i ng i nformat ion, or, the ca 11 er can enter the
bi 11 i ng i nformat ion di rect 1 y; or, the ca 11 er may enter the appropri ate
amount of coi ns di rectly into the payphone as requested by the operator.
The ca 11 wi 11 then be connected. Rates and cha rges a re set forth inSecti on 7.
Bul k Transmi ssi on Servi ce
Bul k Transmi ssi on Servi ce is a custom swi tched tel ecommuni cati ons servi ce
that offers outwa rd di a 1 ed station ca 11 i ng to subscri ber ocat ions vi a a
combi nat i on of Company - provi ded i nterci ty faci 1 it i es and the resold
facilities of other carriers. This service is a flat-rated bulk service
in whi ch the subscri ber is bi 11 ed on a monthly basi s for usage at the per
mi nute rates set forth in Sect ion 7.
The Company wi 11 gi ve at east ten (10) days notice to customers and the
Idaho Public Utilities Commission before making changes increasing its
rates or cha rges . The notice to customers wi 11 be ei ther a pub 1 i c notice
in the newspapers in the Company s Idaho servi ce areas, if requi red,
wi 11 be provi ded vi a di rect ma i 1 not i fi cat ion. The notice wi 11 descri be
the nature of the rate changes, as requi red by Idaho P. U. C. rul es.
