BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION
OF ORBITCOM, INC. TO AMEND ITS
CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY NO. 430
TO REFLECT ITS ACQUISITION OF
ONE EIGHTY NETWORKS, INC.
CASE NO. ORB-08-
ORDER NO. 30666
On June 7, 2004, the Commission issued Order No. 29516 granting Orbitcom, Inc. a
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity, CPCN No. 430, to provide facilities-based
local exchange and interexchange telecommunications services within the State of Idaho.
On October 2, 2008 , Orbitcom filed a request to amend Certificate of Public
Convenience and Necessity No. 430 to reflect that, following the acquisition of OneEighty
Networks, Orbitcom will be operating in northern Idaho under the assumed business name of
OneEighty Networks. On September 29, 2008, Orbitcom electronically filed new local and
access price lists identifying OneEighty Networks as a concurring carrier.
Based on our review of the Application, we find that it is reasonable to amend
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 430 to reflect the acquisition of OneEighty
Networks, Inc., and assumption of the business name OneEighty Networks.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Application of Orbitcom, Inc. to amend its
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 430 is granted. Certificate No. 430 shall be
amended to reflect Orbitcom s operation in northern Idaho under the assumed business name of
OneEighty Networks.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order with regard to any
matter decided in this Order. Within seven (7) days after any person has petitioned for
reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration. Idaho Code ~~ 61-626
and 62-619.
