RE:ORBITCOM,LNC.’S REQUEST TO WITHDRAW CERTIFICATE NO.430;
CASE NOS.ORB-T-03-O1 AND ORB-T-08-01.
On September 4,2015,OrbitCom,Inc.(“OrbitCom”or “Company”)submitted a letter to
the Commission requesting the relinquishment of Certificate No.430 issued by the Commission
on October 29,2008.Sec Order No.30665.On May 7,2015.OrbitCom transferred its
telecommunications assets and Idaho customer base to lonex Communications North,Inc.dba
Birch Communications (“lonex”).The Commission issued Certificate No.514 to lonex on June
11.2013.8cc Order No.32809.With the transfer of assets,OrbitCom no longer offers
telecommunications services in Idaho.The asset transfer was approved by the Federal
Communications Commission on June 5,2015 and lonex and OrbitCom provided notices to
OrbitCom’s customers.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed the request and recommends Commission approval to cancel Certificate
No.430 and to withdraw the Company’s Price Lists.
