HUNT On April 8, 2002, the Commission received a formal complaint from Mr. James H. Hunt against Idaho Power Company. Mr. Hunt claimed that Idaho Power intentionally extended the time periods between meter readings during calendar year 2001 to take advantage of the tiered rate structure to increase revenues received from residential customers. Mr. Hunt also requested the Commission review his findings from computations he claimed showed that Idaho Power over-charged him during calendar year 2001. On May 8, 2002, the Commission ruled to postpone their decision regarding Mr. Hunt's formal complaint until after a decision had been reached in Case No. IPC-E-02-2/IPC-E-02-3. Staff reviewed Mr. Hunt's computations and found several errors and then discussed their findings with him. Subsequently, Mr. Hunt decided to withdraw his formal complaint. Staff recommends that the Commission accept Mr. Hunt's proposal to withdraw his formal complaint.
