SUBJECT: NEUTRAL TANDEM-IDAHO'S APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE
OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY, CASE NO. NTM-T-08-
01
On May 23,2008, Neutral Tandem-Idaho, LLC, fied an Application for a Certificate
of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN). The Company requested authority to provide
facilities-based and resold non-switched dedicated and private line services for the provision of
broadband transmission services within the State of Idaho. After a preliminar review,
Commission Staff determined that Neutral Tandem does not need a Certificate for the services
that it plans to offer in Idaho. Specifically, the Application states that the Company "has no
plans to provide dial tone services to end user customers at this time." Commission Staff
contacted Neutral Tandem regarding its intentions and, on July 17, 2008, the Company
voluntarily withdrew its Application. Consequently, this case should now be closed.
