("Nexus") d/b/a ReachOut Wireless hereby gives notice to the Commission that it is ceasing provision of wireless services in Idaho. Nexus was designated as an eligible telecommunications carrier ("ETC") in case number NCI-T-I1-01. Now, Nexus plans to relinquish its ETC designation in conjunction with the cessation of service. Nexus' decision to relinquish its ETC is the result of changes in the industry and proposed modifications to the Lifeline program. Concurrent with notice to this Commission, Nexus is providing notice to all wireless subscribers in Idaho on the same day as this notice, March 22,2016, pursuant to Idaho Administrative Code Section 3l .41 .01 .312.02. Nexus currently has three subscribers in the state of Idaho. A sample notice is contained below: ReachOut Wireless will stop providing your service on May 6,2016. Please contact another Lifeline provider like Assurance Wireless and Budget Mobile if you still want Lifeline service after May 6,2016. Questions? Call 1-866-392-7123. Actual service will not cease until May 6, consistent with Section3l.4l.0l312.0202 which requires 45 days prior notice. No other providers will be directly affected by the cessation of service. In order to ensure all subscribers will continue to be served, Nexus is providing call center service to assist with the transition and provide subscribers the names of alternative wireless Lifeline ETCs, including Virgin Mobile and Budget Mobile. DWT 28430636v2 00922 I 0-00000 I Idaho Public Utilities Commission March 22,2016 Page2 The impact of this cessation of service will be minimal because Nexus' subscribers have multiple options for alternative wireless service providers in Nexus' service area in Idaho. Accordingly, Nexus' cessation of service will not deprive customers of any necessary or essential telecommunications service or access thereto and is not other"wise contrary to the public interest.
