On October 18,1999 the Commission issued Order No.28188 granting MVX.COMCommunicationsaCertificateofPublicConvenienceandNecessitytoprovidelocaltelecommunicationsserviceswithinIdaho.Certificate No.366 was issued to MVX.COM onDecember7,1999.
On May 22,2001,QuantumShift Communications,Inc.f/k/a MVX.COMCommunicationsrequestedthattheCommissionchangetheMVX.COM name on its Certificate
to reflect QuantumShift Communications,Inc.Additionally,QuantumShift has filed an initialtariffreflectingthisnamechange,and has requested the Commission cancel all tariffs on file forMVX.COM.
According to its website,QuantumShift is a California-based company that"provides cutting edge solutions to mid-to large-sized growing businesses for the procurementandmanagementofcommunicationsservices."Founded in 1997,QuantumShift is a privatelyownedcompanywithmorethan250employeesand$58 million in third-roundfinancing.TonyCooke,QuantumShift'sDirector of Government Affairs,informed Staff that the Company does
not have any customers in Idaho.
