ORDER NO. 36024

On July 21, 2023, Metropolitan Telecommunications of Idaho, Inc. (“Company”) notified
the Commission that it was converting to a limited liability company (“LLC”) and requested a
name change on its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (“CPCN”) to reflect its
conversion to an LLC. The Company requested that its designated name on its CPCN reads as
follows: “Metropolitan Telecommunications of Idaho, LLC.” The Company asserted that this
change would only reflect the change in its business organizational structure. The Company stated
that the name change would not result in any changes in management, operations, rates, services,
or regulatory obligations. In short, the Company stated there would not be any impact on
customers.
The Company requested a change of its Company name on Certificate No. 448. This CPCN
was issued to the Company by Commission Order No. 29826 in Case No. MRO-T-05-01. Staff
verified that the Company received the Certificate of Amendment of Foreign Registration1 from
the Idaho Secretary of State on March 23, 2023.
Commission Staff reviewed the Company’s Application and supporting documentation
and recommended that the Commission issue an amended CPCN No. 448 to reflect the Company’s
desired name of Metropolitan Telecommunications of Idaho, LLC.
JURISDICTION AND FINDINGS
The Commission has jurisdiction over CPCNs. IDAPA 31.01.01.114. Based on our review
of the Company’s filing and Staff’s recommendation, the Commission finds it appropriate to

amend CPCN No. 448 to reflect that the Company has changed its name to Metropolitan
Telecommunications of Idaho, LLC.
O R D E R
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that CPCN No. 448 shall be amended to reflect that the CPCN
holder’s name shall be Metropolitan Telecommunications of Idaho, LLC. An amended CPCN shall
be issued to reflect the new name.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order about any matter
decided in this Order. Within seven (7) days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration,
any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration. Idaho Code § 61-626.
