RE: Case No. MID-T-98-1
Staff’s Motion to Dismiss Petitions
Dear Mr. Hanson:
On September 11, 1998, we received a Petition for Extended Area Service (EAS) from you. After carefully reviewing calling data and other factors, Staff has filed a Motion to Dismiss the Petition. Enclosed is Staff’s Motion to Dismiss the Petition for EAS between Yellow Pine and McCall and Cascade. I have also enclosed a copy of the Commission’s Rules of Procedure.
Pursuant to Commission rules, if you want to oppose, support or merely comment on the Staff’s Motion, you must file your written response (called an “answer”) with the Commission by mail within fourteen (14) days after service of the Staff’s Motion. (See Rule 57(3).) You should address your answer to
Myrna Walters
Commission Secretary
Idaho Public Utilities Commission
PO Box 83720
Boise, ID 837200074.
You cannot respond by phoning the Commission. Such conversations are not part of the Commission record and will not be considered. If you choose to file an answer, you should submit it on “white 8 ½ " by 11" paper copied on one side only.” (Rule 62) Your answer should include the case caption, case number and title of the document. You should include your name, mailing address on the upper left corner of the first page, mailing and street address, and telephone and FAX number of the person filing the document or the person to whom questions about the document can be directed. I have enclosed an example of what is required.
Any answer must be sent by mail to all the parties listed on the enclosed list and you should also include a Proof of Service with your answer. (See Rule 64.) If you have any questions, you may call me at 334-0314.
Sincerely,
Cheri C. Copsey
Deputy Attorney General
