HomeMy WebLinkAbout20031023Final Order No 29367.pdfOffice of the Secretary Service Date October 23 , 2003 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION TO AMEND CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY NO. 337 TO REFLECT THAT MCIMETRO ACCESS TRANSMISSION SERVICE, INC. HAS CHANGED ITS NAME TO MCIMETRO ACCESS TRANSMISSION SERVICE LLC ORDER NO. 29367 CASE NO. MCM-O3- On January 8, 1998, the Commission issued Order No. 27307 granting MCImetro Access Transmission Services, Inc. a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide basic local exchange services within the State ofldaho. On January 8, 1998, Certificate No. 337 was issued to MCImetro. MCImetro is a wholly-owned subsidiary ofMCI WorldCom Network Services, Inc. On August 18 2003 , MCImetro notified the Commission that it had transformed from a corporation into a limited liability company, and changed its name to MCImetro Access Transmission Services, LLC. There were no changes to management, operations or the costs and types of services offered to the public as a result of the restructure. MCImetro submitted a revised price list reflecting the name change, and requested the Commission change the name on the Company s Certificate. At the October 15 , 2003 decision meeting, Staff recommended and the Commission approved the request for name change. Based on our review of the Application, we find that it is reasonable to amend Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 337 to reflect the name from MCImetro Access Transmission Services, Inc. to MCImetro Access Transmission Services, LLC. ORDER IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 337 be amended to reflect the name change from MCImetro Access Transmission Services Inc. to MCImetro Access Transmission Services, LLC. THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order (or in issues finally decided by this Order) or in interlocutory Orders previously issued in this Case No. MCM- T -03- 1 may petition for reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this Order or in interlocutory Orders previously issued in ORDER NO. 29367 this Case No. MCM-03-Within seven (7) days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration.
