CERTIFICATE; CASE NO. MCI-04- On July 30, 2004, the Commission received a letter from MCI, Inc. informing the Commission that the corporate restructuring undertaken by MCI Worldcom Communications Inc. was completed and requesting that the Commission cancel the certificate of public convenience and necessity it had previously granted to WorldCom Technologies. The Commission granted Certificate No. 347 to World Com Technologies, Inc. in Case No. GNR-97-15. The name on this certificate was subsequently changed to MCI WorldCom Communications, Inc. In Case No MCM-97-, the Commission granted a certificate to MCImetro Access Transmission Services, Inc. As a result of the merger of MCI and WorldCom these two companies shared the same corporate parent. As a result of the bankruptcy and corporate restructuring, the local assets and customers of the former WorldCom Technologies, Inc. subsidiary were transferred to MCImetro Access Transmission Services, Inc. Therefore, the certificate granted to WorldCom Technologies, Inc. is no longer necessary.
