Re:Notification of Consolidation Completion as Related to a Corporate
Restructuring Undertaken to Consummate Plan of Reorganization under
Chapter 11 of the Federal Bankruptcy Code
Dear Ms. Jewell:
On April 20, 2004, MCI, Inc. ("the Company ) officially emerged from Chapter
11 bankruptcy protection. As a part of that process, the MCI's Plan of Reorganization
called for the consolidation of several of its competitive local exchange carrier
subsidiaries. This letter hereby certifies that the consolidation of the MCI CLEC affiliate
in your state is complete. MCI WorldCom Communications, Inc.s local assets and
customers were merged into MCImetro Access Transmission Services LLC as outlined in
earlier communications with the Utilities Commission.
Given this completion, we request cancellation of the local certificate of public
convenience and necessity issued to MCI WorldCom Communications, InC.
In earlier communications, we indicated that our Intermedia subsidiary would be
merged into another company. That process is taking place now, and we will make an
appropriate filing in the future so that the Commission s records will properly reflect the
status of the new Intermedia subsidiary.
MCI WorldCom Communications, Inc. was granted a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity
via Case No. GNR-97-, Order No. 27685 to provide local exchange telecommunication services in
those areas of the Idaho served by US West and GTE under its previous name of World Com Technologies
Inc. (see June 24, 1999 notice letter pertaining to internal reorganization).
