APPLICATION OF MATRIX TELECOM, LLC REQUESTING A NAME CHANGE TO LINGO TELECOM, LLC FOR CERTIFICATE NO 468; CASE NO. MAT-T-22-01
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
On March 8, 2022, Matrix Telecom, LLC d/b/a Matrix Business Technologies
d/b/a Trinsic Communications d/b/a Excel Telecommunications d/b/a VarTec Telecom d/b/a
Clear Choice Communications d/b/a Lingo ("Company") had its consultant, Inteserra, file an
Application requesting the Commission change the Company's corporate name in all
Commission records. Specifically, the Company requested that the name on the Certificate of
Public Convenience and Necessity ("CPCN") No. 468 issued on May 3, 2016, by Order No.
33517, in Case No. MAT-T-07-01, be amended to reflect the new name. On April 18, 2022, the
Company submitted an amended Application, signed by an officer of the Company.
The Company is changing its corporate name to Lingo Telecom, LLC d/b/a Trinsic
Communications d/b/a Excel Telecommunications d/b/a VarTec Telecom d/b/a Clear Choice
Communications d/b/a Lingo and is cancelling the d/b/a Matrix Business Technologies. The
Company is registered with the Idaho Secretary of State as a Foreign Limited Liability Company
and received the Certificate of Amendment of its registration, reflecting the new name, from the
Idaho Secretary of State on November 24, 2021.
The Company represents that it notified Idaho customers of the name change via bill
message. Also, as part of its filing the Company provided its local and interexchange tariffs.
