SUBJECT: MAGNAS, LLC,S APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY; CASE NO. MAG-T-17-01
On December 1,2017, Magna5, LLC (Magna5) applied to the Commission for a
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) authorizing it to provide resold local
exchange and interexchange telecommunications services in Idaho. Magna5 supplemented its
initial Application on January 31, 2018.
THE APPLICATION
Magna5 is a foreign for-profit limited liability company, formed in the State of
Delaware, with permission to conduct business in the State of Idaho. Application at 1 and
Exhibit A thereto. Magna5 proposes, and requests authority, to provide resold local exchange,
interexchange, dedicated point-to-point private line service, VolP, and dedicated Intemet access
to business customers. Id. at2. Magna5 intends to focus its service offerings in the territories of
CenturyLink and Frontier, and, if certified, will seek resale agreements with them. Id. at 4.
Magna has reviewed and agrees to comply with all Commission rules and requirements. 1d
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission process Magna5's Application under
Modified Procedure with a 21-day comment period.
