On August 15,2013,Lightyear Network Solutions,LLC notified the Commission it
intended to transfer all assets and customers to lonex Communications North,Inc.dba Birch
Communications.On November 18,2013,Lightyear notified the Commission that the transfer was
complete and requested cancellation of it Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.432.
In its Decision Meeting on December 16,2013,the Commission approved Lightyear’s request for
cancellation of Certificate No.432.
COMMISSION FINDINGS
In April 2004,Lightyear Network Solutions,LLC filed an application for a CPCN to
provide local exchange and interexchange telecommunications services in Idaho.In August 2004,
the Commission granted Lightyear’s application for a CPCN.Order No.29565.
On November 18,2013,Lightyear requested the Commission cancel its Certificate and
stated the transfer of all assets and customers to lonex Communications North,Inc.dba Birch
Communications was complete.Staff recommended the Commission cancel Certificate No.432 and
remove the Company’s price list or tariff on file.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Lightyear Solutions,LLC’s request for cancellation of
its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.432 is granted.Certificate No.432 is no
longer in effect,and Lightyear is no longer authorized to provide telecommunications services in the
State of Idaho.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order or in interlocutory
Orders previously issued in this case may petition for reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of
the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this Order or in interlocutory
Orders previously issued in this case.Within seven (7)days after any person has petitioned for

reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration.See Idaho Code §§61-619
and 61-626.
